The Problem
Our customer in Santa Monica reported that her Wolf SO30PM/S/PM oven would not turn off and made a loud rattling sound when she attempted to power it down. With premium appliances like Wolf, these issues require immediate attention to avoid safety concerns and further damage.
Diagnosis – July 18, 2025
Our technician, Joel, arrived at the home for the initial service call.
After a full inspection and diagnostic, he identified:
- A faulty main control board
- A faulty cooling fan
Both components had failed due to wear and tear. The oven’s cooling system was unable to properly shut down, causing the persistent rattling sound and failure to turn off completely.
The customer approved the repair, and the necessary Wolf replacement parts were ordered immediately.
Parts Procurement – July 18–21, 2025
- Ordered Wolf OEM replacement control board and cooling fan through authorized supplier
- Confirmed part shipments on July 21, 2025
- Notified customer by email and SMS that parts were in transit
All parts were checked into inventory and ready for installation by late July.
Scheduling and Customer Coordination
The customer was traveling out of town after the initial diagnosis. Once she returned, she contacted us to schedule the repair for August 21, 2025.
- July 31: Contacted customer to arrange return appointment
- August 11: Appointment scheduled for August 21 (8 AM – 12 PM)
- August 20: Appointment confirmed via email, SMS, and online portal

The Repair – August 21, 2025
Joel returned to the home with the Wolf replacement parts.
Work performed:
- Removed and replaced the control board

- Reassembled and tested the oven
Result: The Wolf SO30PM/S/PM oven was restored to full working condition. The rattling sound was eliminated, and the oven now powers off correctly after use.
